I have been on a HUNT for a cute dresser over the last few weeks to put in our nursery. Every time I found something it was either too expensive, too big, too small or not available. I finally found something I am happy with and today, I want to share some of my favorite finds along the way, with you.
The Criteria
First and foremost, I was looking for something inexpensive. I apparently have expensive taste because finding a dresser for under $400 felt nearly impossible when I started this journey.
I was also really looking for a wood finish. I didn’t want a painted dresser. Not that I didn’t find some I liked – even loved – they just didn’t fit the overall aesthetic I was looking for so, the choices were quickly disappearing.
Finally, it needed to be the right size. The bedroom isn’t very large and I know where I want it. This dresser had to be no more than 60” in length.
With these parameters I was finding it really hard at first. So much so I gave up after the first few days. It was only a few weeks later I picked my search back up and got serious! That’s when I found several dressers I liked. So enjoy this roundup of affordable dressers with the one I picked for our nursery at the end.
Charlie 6 Drawer Double Dresser by Davinci
This dresser is cute and comes in 8 different colors. I really like the style, in fact, this would have been a super easy choice since it is the exact match to our crib.
Since I already own the Charlie 4-in-1 Convertible Crib I didn’t want to end up with a bedroom set. However, for the price you can definitely swap the pulls for something you adore to make it truly unique.
Hallityn Dresser by Ashley Furniture
This dresser is available at a super low price! I love the scallop detail! If it wasn’t only available in white (and a little smaller), I think I would have snagged this one. It is on the larger side at 61″ in length. If you want storage this one can certainly do the trick.
Frem 6 Drawer Dresser by Davinci
Another dresser I just loved from the moment I saw it, is this dark green beauty. It comes in three colors and I was genuinely torn when I came across this one. I love the look and the sleek lines.
It is a really good size at 52″ in length so it will fit comfortably in a smaller room.
Kenton 6 Drawer Double Dresser by Storkcraft
Available in 5 different colors, this dresser is good for a small space. With a subtle arch detail on the top drawers, this dresser offers a little detail that keeps it fresh.
It is an extremely affordable option and I can’t find a single retailer that sells it for more than $300. Great for those looking to score a dresser for less.
Jayden 6 Drawer 48" Wide Double Dresser by Davinci
If I were choosing a dresser for my son’s room the Jayden from Davinci would be towards the top of my list.
I like the double knobs on the drawer fronts and the classic look. I think it can pair well with many design styles. I had my heart set on a light finish so, I had to pass on this one.
Arcel 6 Drawer Dresser by Lark and Manor
Another dresser that offers some details without being over the top or expensive is this dresser from Lark and Manor. I am a sucker for the double knobs and I like that this includes a paneling look with some vertical stripes.
It fit the bill as far as design aesthetic and size, but only comes in white or grey. I could have deviated from my original plan, but I held to my guns and kept searching.
Signature 6 Drawer Double Dresser by Davinci
As a mom, I can truly appreciate a piece of furniture that doesn’t allow for the collection of random items and dust below. This dresser looks solid and has a very timeless appearance.
It isn’t large at 48″ wide so while it looks substantial it doesn’t take up a lot of space. If this was in a light wash finish, this may have been the dresser for our nursery.
Knopf 52" Wide 6 Drawer Double Dresser by Viv + Rae
This saturated blue is gorgeous and another dresser I would definitely consider for my son’s room (but he has one). However, it just didn’t come in a light finish. It has a second finish called “Fall Oak” which reads rustic and has a medium-dark tone.
Colby 6 Drawer Dresser by Carter's by Davinci
The dresser I selected in the end. This light washed beauty is a very minimal and modern look for our girl’s nursery. I wanted to lean into a contrasting style from the bed and the overall look of the room, to create an unexpected moment.
I plan to keep the nursery aesthetic more traditional, but this sleek dresser felt right. Not to mention, I am excited to finally have a dresser in the room!
Conclusion
Finding furniture can be challenging, especially when you are working on a tighter budget. I hope this inspires you to stay persistent as you look for adorable and affordable finds for your home.
Let me know what dresser you loved or connect with me, if you want to be featured on Kinsale Home!

From the time I was a young child, I have loved interior design and beautiful things. Ten-year-old me would create “floor plans” on notebook paper and design the dream homes of my siblings. We would have an initial meeting and after jotting down their wish list, I got to work creating the home of their dreams.
After designing the layout, I would take the Sunday newspaper ads (are those still a thing?) and cut out pictures of furniture, lamps, and accessories to create mood boards for each room in the home. When I was all done, weeks and weeks later, I would showcase my work and pitch my design ideas to a sibling.
If you too enjoy beautiful things and the process of turning a vision into a reality, welcome! If you love watching homes transform, but just don’t know how to start or have the resources to buy everything you like, stick around. I love finding affordable and practical design solutions to give YOU a gorgeous home you can be proud of.
